Ingredients to make Upma

  • Rava 1 cup
  • onion 1 Medium Size
  • Green chili 2-3
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • coconut oil 3-4 tbsp
  • mustard seeds
  • curry leaves

How to make Upma

  1. TAKE 1 CUP OF RAVA/SOOJI
  2. DRY ROAST RAVA FOR 5-10 MINUTES ON MEDIUM FLAME BY CONTINUOUSLY STIRRING.
  3. DICE 1 MEDIUM SIZE ONION,2-3 GREEN CHILI,1/2INCH GINGER
  4. TAKE 3-4 TBSP OF COCONUT OIL AND ADD MUSTARD SEEDS,CURRY LEAVES, URAD DAAL, GREEN CHILLIE AND GINGER
  5. WHEN THE INGREDIENTS TURN GOLDEN ADD ONION AND FRY TILL GOLDEN COLOUR.
  6. ADD 2 CUP WATER AND SALT.
  7. SLOWLY ADD RAVA BY STIRRING CONTINUOUSLY FOR 10 MIN.
  8. UPMA IS READY!! ENJOY WITH PEANUT CHUTNEY.
