ABOUT Sweet Samosa/ Misti Singara RECIPE

This is an hit item in the sweet shops of kolkata abd specially during tge festive season its in demand. It is stuffed with either khoya or coconut.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. All purpose flour 1/2 cup and wheat flour 1/2 cup.
  2. White oil and lil warm milk.
  3. Grated coconut mixed with khoya.
  4. Sugar around 500 gms.
  5. Saffron soaked in warm water.
  6. Cardamom powder and whole cloves for garnishing.

Instructions

  1. Make a dough with the flour by adding milk in it and 3 tablespoon of oil.
  2. Also add lil salt to the dough and keep it covered for 20 mins.
  3. Take the grated coconut and mix it with khoya and sugar and make small balls and keep aside.
  4. Take 500 gms of water and sugar and make a thick sugar syrup. Some saffron can be added to sugar syrup too.
  5. Then take the dough and small balls and make a round shape with a pin roll.
  6. Cut the round shape of the flat dough into 2 halves.
  7. Take one half of the flattened dough and put the coconut mixture and shape it like a samosa.
  8. If you cannot make the shape of a samosa try to just make a normal triangle and cover the ends with lil water patting the ends nicely to prevent the stuffed coconut from coming out.
  9. Put 1 clove in the end of the shaped samosa's.
  10. Fry all the samosas and place them in the sugar syrup.
  11. Garnish them with some saffron water and serve it.
