About Pumpkin hummus Recipe

Its a Mediterranean recipe with a healthy twist. It can be taken as a dip or best goes with roti or parantha.

Pumpkin hummus

Ingredients to make Pumpkin hummus

  • 500 gms of soaked chick peas.
  • 250 gms of butter squash or pumpkin.
  • 50gms of white sesame seeds dry roasted.
  • olive oil about 1/2 cup.
  • Chopped parsley ( optional).
  • Salt and pepper.
  • garlic is optional.

How to make Pumpkin hummus

  1. First boil the chick peas and pumpkin together in a pressure cooker.
  2. Add garlic around 5 cloves in the mixer grinder.
  3. Dry roasted sesame seeds and some white peppercorns and along with chick peas and pumpkin together grind it.
  4. Then in a bowl take olive oil, salt and chopped parsley and mix them all with the blended ingredients.
  5. Make sure it has no water in it while you put in the grinder.
  6. Enjoy by drizzling olive oil on top.

My Tip:

Make sure to squeeze all tge water from the boiled pumpkin and chick peas. Then make a thick paste of it.
