Aloo Bhujia

Ingredients to make Aloo Bhujia

  • potatoes - 4 to 5 medium sized
  • Panch Phoron masala - 2 tsp
  • green chillies - 2
  • turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • mustard Oil - 2 tsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Aloo Bhujia

  1. Cut the potatoes similar to finger chips as shown in the picture.
  2. Heat the mustard oil in a thick bottomed vessel. Add Panch Phoran Masala and Green Chillies to the oil, stir for a minute.
  3. Next, add the potatoes and mix it well. Cover and cook well for a few minutes.
  4. Add salt and turmeric and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve it warm with rice and dal on the side.

My Tip:

Panch Phoron Masala can be prepared at home by taking equal proportions of Fenugreek seed, Nigella (Saunf) seed, Cumin Seed, Mustard Seed and Fennel Seeds.
