ABOUT Coriander(Dhaniya) Panjiri RECIPE

It's an old time delicacies from my mother's cookbook which i used to love a lot. Coriander panjiri is made with coriander powder and a mix of dry fruits enhances it's taste. This panjiri is also offered to Lord Krishna on Janmashtami.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Coriander powder, 1/2 cup
  2. Fox nuts, 1/2 cup
  3. Melon seeds, 1/2tsp
  4. Almonds, 10
  5. Desi ghee, 4tsp
  6. Sugar, 1/3 cup, powdered


  1. Heat a heavy bottomed pan and add melon seeds and stir on low heat till they start to crackle and then remove and keep aside.
  2. Add ghee in the pan and roast the almonds on low heat, remove and keep aside.
  3. Now add the Fox nuts and roast for 2-3 minutes until crispy and keep aside.
  4. Now add 2tsp ghee and roast the coriander powder on low heat till it gives nice aroma and turns little darker in shade.
  5. Remove it from the pan and let it cool a bit.
  6. After 2-3 minutes mix coriander powder, powdered sugar, fox nuts, almonds, melon seeds together.
  7. It's done enjoy the old times delicacies.
