About Kadhi Recipe

Kadhi is a popula north indian dish, made with curd n chickpea flour. Kadhi is usually made with pakodis(dumpling) in it, but i just tried this out because my son does't like pakodi. Country riesiding- Saudi Arabia

Ingredients to make Kadhi

  • 3 tbsp chickpea flour
  • 2 cup curd
  • 1 whole dry red chilli
  • salt to taste
  • 2 spoon mustard oil
  • 1tsp turmeric powder
  • 3 green chilli
  • 1tsp mustered seeds
  • 1tsp cumin seeds
  • Asafoetide a pinch
  • 1 cup boondi
  • 5, 7 curry leves

How to make Kadhi

  1. Take curd in a bowl add besan n mix together (Avoid lumps).
  2. Add 3 glass of water n mix everything well.
  3. Take turmeric in a small bowl, add water n mix well.
  4. Heat oil in a pan add cumin, dry red chilli, mustard seeds, curry leaves and asafoetide.
  5. Add turmeric water n stir till oil separate.
  6. Now add curd, besan batter to the pan, add chopped green chilli.
  7. Stir well n bring to simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes.
  8. Then add boondi n off the flame, serve hot with steamed rice..

My Tip:

Stirring continuously n simmer on low flame.
