ABOUT Aam Doi or Mango Yogurt (Baked) RECIPE

During the Mango season in my home town Kolkata, sweet shop owners make a variant of the popular Mishti Doi (Sweet Yogurt), into Aam Doi (Mango Yogurt), infusing the mango flavour into the regular sweet yogurt. In this baked version, you can make this within 10 minutes of preparation and 30 minutes of baking time. You need only 3 ingredients and you'll have a yummy dessert to surprise your family and friends.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Plain yogurt : 400 gm
  2. Condensed milk : 300 ml
  3. Mango puree : 1 cup ( made from 3 large mangoes)

Instructions

  1. Puree 3 mangoes in a blender without adding any water till it's smooth. Keep aside.
  2. In a bowl, take the yogurt, condensed milk and mango puree. Mix it well with a spoon.
  3. Pour in an ovenproof dish. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celsius and bake for 30 minutes or till the yogurt is fully set.
  4. Remove and let it cool in a room temperature. Then refrigerate for at least 4-5 hours or more for it to set fully.
  5. Enjoy it chilled.
