ABOUT Luchi Cholar Daal RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Split bengal gram 200 grams
  2. Ginger 1 inch
  3. Green chillies 4
  4. Small sized tomatoes 2
  5. Mustard seeds for seasoning
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Pinch of sugar
  8. Edible oil
  9. Grated Coconut 1/2 cup
  10. Bay leaves 2
  11. Red chillies 2

Instructions

  1. Soak the split bengal gram or chana dal for an hour, then wash it and boil it.
  2. In a pan, heat oil and put in the mustard seeds, once they start spluttering put in the bay leaves, sliced ginger and green chilli paste, then put in the whole red chilies.
  3. Next, put in the pureed tomatoes and let it cook.
  4. Now add the grated coconut and stir for a minute. Next, add in sugar and salt to taste.
  5. At last put in the boiled dal and bring it to boil together.
  6. Serve it hot.
