Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Soya crunch 1cups
  2. 1 cup gram flour
  3. 1/2 cup wheat flour
  4. 1/2 cup semolina
  5. Kasuri methi1/2 cup
  6. Termeric powder 1/3 spoon
  7. Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  8. 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder
  9. Cumin seeds powder 1 tbsp
  10. Salt as per taste
  11. 1 pinch of soda
  12. 1tbsp oil
  13. 1 tbsp sugar
  14. 1 inch ginger
  15. 1green chilli finely chopped
  16. Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  17. For tadka-
  18. Oil to fry 2 tbsp
  19. Musterd seeds 1tbsp
  20. Sesame seeds 1tbsp
  21. Curry leaves
  22. Green chili 2
  23. Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Boil water and add soya chunks after 15 minutes it gets double in size.
  2. Squeeze the water, grind the soya chunks and ginger piece in mixer jar
  3. Transfer it into a bowl add gram flour, semolina, and wheat flour and all masalas mentioned in ingredients
  4. Add sugar, oil, lemon juice and a pinch of soda mix it well, add water if required make a soft dough
  5. Prepare steamer, put a steamer tray on it greased with oil.
  6. Divide the dough into equal parts. Apply oil in your palm and make cylindrical shape with dough, arranged on greased tray.
  7. Steam for 25 minuts
  8. Chek the muthiya with the toothpick if it should come out clean , no need to cook more
  9. Cool for 5 minuts and cut into slices
  10. Heat oil in a pan add musterd seeds and sesame seeds, green chillis, curry leaves, let them splutter.
  11. Add muthiya slice, mix gently saute till you get little brown
  12. Garnish with coriander leaves, Serve hot with chatni enjoy the awesome taste of soyachunks muthiya.
