Residing country: Malaysia. Definitely a reminder of india. This chicken tikka is my all-time favourite chicken dish.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Chicken Breast- ½ kg
  2. For Marinate:  
  3. Curd-1 cup
  4. Red chilli powder-1 tblspn
  5. Garam masala powder-2 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder-1 tsp
  7. Ginger Garlic paste-2 tblspn
  8. Cardamom powder-1 tsp
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Lemon juice-2 tblspn
  11. Red Food Colouring-a pinch
  12. For Basing:
  13. Lemon juice-2 tblspn
  14. Oil-2 tblspn
  15. Chat masala powder-1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Mix the marinate ingrediants together.Now add in chopped chicken pieces and mix well.Let this marinate in the fridge over night.
  2. Preheat the oven to the highest temperature. Take the chicken out of the fridge before 30 mins so that it comes to room temperature and cooks evenly.
  3. Fix the pieces in a skewer and arrange it in a foil lined baking tray. Place the tray in the top rack and grill the chicken for 10 mins.
  4. When 10 mins is over take the chicken out and apply the rest of the marinate over this and place it back in the oven for 10 mins.
  5. Now mix lemon juice, oil, chat masala powder together for basing the chicken
  6. Now take the tray out.Turn the chicken skewers over and base it with the lemon liquid and place it back in the oven for 5 more mins.
  7. Cook the chicken for 5 mins until the chicken is cooked and gets a little chared around the edges.
  8. Remove this and serve hot with onion and mint chutney.
