ABOUT Aloo Tikki Chaat RECIPE

Aloo Tikki chaat is super delicious cahtpata dish.This is one of the simplest chaat you can make at home.This chaat is everyones favourtie in my home and me to liked aloo tikki chaat so much ,as it doesn't required any special preprations and i can fix delicious snacks to my family in few minutes.Currently I am living in Vietnam-Hanoi.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARING aloo TIKKI :-
  2. Bolied&mashed potatoes. 4No
  3. Rice flour 4-5 Tbsp
  4. turmeric powder/Haldi. 1/2 Tsp
  5. Chopped ginger 1Tsp
  6. Red chili powder 1Tsp
  7. cumin powder 1/2 Tsp
  8. Chaat Masala. 1/2 Tsp
  9. Dry mango powder/Amchur 1/2 Tsp
  10. Chopped coriander leaves 1/4 cup
  11. salt as per taste
  12. oil for shallow frying
  13. INGREDIENTS FOR ASSEMBLING TIKKI CHAAT:-
  14. curd 1/2cup
  15. Green chutney as required
  16. Sweet tamarind chutney as required
  17. Chaat masala as required
  18. Black salt as required
  19. Sliced onions 1 medium size
  20. aloo bhujia as required

Instructions

  1. In a bowl add mashed potatoes.
  2. Add turmeric powder, amchur powder,chopped ginger,red chili powder,chaat masala and cumin powder to mashed potatoes.
  3. Now add chopped coriander leaves and salt.
  4. Add rice flour to the bowl and mix everything well.
  5. Prepare medium sized ball from aloo tikki mixture.
  6. Shape them into tikkis.
  7. Heat a non -stick pan and drizzle 2-3 tbsp of oil.
  8. Place the tikkis on pan and fry on medium flame.
  9. When one side turns golden and crispy flip the tikki and fry from another side.
  10. Flip the tikkis again when the second side is golden and crispy.
  11. Flip tikkis 1-2 times and fry until all the aloo tikkis are crispy and evenly golden
  12. Remove tikkis and place on kitchen towel.
  13. ASSEMBLING ALOO TIKKI:-
  14. In a bowl add fresh curd and whisk till smooth.
  15. In a serving plate place 2-3 hot tikkis.
  16. Pour some curd over the tikkis.
  17. Now drizzle some green and sweet tamarind chutney according to your taste.
  18. Sprinkle 1-2Tsp of chaat masala and black salt as per taste.
  19. Add some aloo bhujia and sliced onions on top.
  20. Serve aloo tikki chat immediately.
