Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Scrambled Paneer– 200 grams
  2. Onions – 4 medium
  3. Tomato puree – 2 cup
  4. Garlic – 8 cloves
  5. Ginger – ½ –inch piece
  6. Green chilies – 3
  7. Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
  8. Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  9. Red Chili powder – 1 tsp
  10. Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  11. Kasoori methi – ½ tbsp
  12. Cashews - 15 ground to a paste
  13. Bay leaf 1
  14. Oil – 2 tbsp
  15. Water as required
  16. Salt as required


  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a skillet and add onions, bay leaf to it. Sauté them till they are golden brown. Add the ginger and garlic and sauté till the raw smell goes away.
  2. Add the tomato puree and cook till the oil begins to separate. Add the salt and spice powders; turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, Mix well
  3. Add the cashew paste and cook for a minute. The masala will look glossy. Add water and bring the gravy to a boil
  4. Add paneer, kasoori methi, green chilies, and coriander leaves. Cook till the paneer gets heated through. Switch off the heat
  5. Serve the paneer bhurji gravy hot with chapathi or toasted bread
