About Kadai Chicken Recipe

Kadai chicken is a simple north Indian chicken preparation.

Kadai Chicken

Ingredients to make Kadai Chicken

  • chicken - 400 gms
  • tomato Puree - 2 large sized tomato
  • onion - 2 large sized
  • ginger-Garlic and Green Chilli Paste - 2 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Kashmiri chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • cumin powder - 1 tsp
  • pepper powder - 2 tsp
  • coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • capsicum - 1 medium sized
  • coriander leaves few
  • Fresh cream - 2 tsp
  • oil - 2 to 3 tsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Kadai Chicken

  1. Heat oil in a kadai, add onion and saute till it turns transparent.
  2. Add the ginger, garlic and chilli paste, saute till the raw smell fades away.
  3. Add all the powders one by one and mix well on a low flame. Put in the chicken, cover the lid and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Next, add tomato puree in to it and cook for another 15 minutes.
  5. Add capsicum and fresh cream just 5 minutes before turning off the gas.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve.
