ABOUT Prawns masala RECIPE

A spicy prawns dish with brijals and potatoes

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Fresh prawns 1cup(shelled and cleaned)
  2. Brinjals 4-5 medium sized cut into thin slices
  3. Potato 1-2 medium size halved and cut into thin slices
  4. Onions 2 medium size cut finely
  5. Garlic and ginger paste 2-3 tsp
  6. Garam masala 3-4 tsp
  7. Chilli powder 1-2tsp
  8. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  9. Tamarind paste 3-4 tsp or as per taste
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Oil 2-3 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a kadhai
  2. Add onions and saute till brown
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 1 min
  4. Add brinjals, potato and prawns and saute for 2-3 min
  5. Add garam masala, chilli powder turmeric powder and salt
  6. Saute for 2-3 min
  7. Add tamarind paste and enough water
  8. Let it come to boil then simmer on low flame for 15-20 min or till the brinjals are cooked
  9. Keep stirring in between and adding little water at a time to avoid the vegetables sticking to bottom
  10. Serve hot with roti or parathas
