ABOUT Potato kachori with chicken and papaya RECIPE

Kachori here is a pseudo kachori as no flour has been used to make the kachoris. The potatoes itself has been used to make the kachoris which is filled with a mixture of minced chicken and raw papaya along with flavorful spices. The kachoris are then baked and not deep fried to keep it healthy. It's a very healthy and tasty snack for the tea time.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Chicken and papaya filling
  2. Chicken keema 1/2 cup
  3. Raw papaya 1/3 cup
  4. Onion 1 medium sized chopped
  5. Ginger 1 inch grated
  6. Garlic 1 tablespoon grated
  7. Green chillies 2 chopped
  8. Curd 1 tablespoon
  9. Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
  10. Dried curry leaves 1 tablespoon
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Vegetables oil 2 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. ADD 2 TABLESPOON OIL TO THAT ADD 1 CHOPPED ONION
  2. AFTER A MINUTE ADD 1 TEASPOON CRUSHED GINGER AND 1 TEASPOON CHOPPED GREEN CHILLIES
  3. 1 TEASPOON CHOPPED GARLIC AND SAUTE
  4. 1/2 CUP CHICKEN KEEMA,1/3 CUP GRATED RAW PAPAYA AND COOK THEM
  5. 1 TABLESPOON CURD AND 1 TEASPOON GARAM MASALA POWDER
  6. 1 TEASPOON SALT, 1 TABLESPOON DRIED AND CRUSHED CURRY LEAVES. COOK FOR 2-3 MINUTES.
  7. FINALLY ADD 2 TABLESPOON CORIANDER LEAVES AND THE FILLING IS READY
  8. TO 1 CUP MASHED POTATOES ADD 2 TABLESPOON OF RICE FLOUR
  9. 3/4 TEASPOON SALT AND FEW DRIED CURRY LEAVES
  10. MIX EVERYTHING WELL.ADD MORE RICE FLOUR IF IT'S TOO SOGGY
  11. MAKE A SOFT DOUGH
  12. APPLY OIL IN PALM. TAKE A SMALL PORTION OF THE POTATO DOUGH MAKE A ROUND AND FLATTEN IT
  13. PLACE A TABLESPOON OF THE FILLING IN THE CENTRE
  14. SEAL THE KACHORI
  15. PLACE ON THE BAKING TRAY AND LIGHTLY OIL THEM WITH A BRUSH
  16. BAKE IN A PREHEATED OVEN AT 180 DEGREES FOR 20 MINUTES AND WITH THE UPPER ROD ON FOR 5 MINUTES
  17. POTATO KACHORIS WITH CHICKEN AND PAPAYA ARE READY
