Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ripen mango 1 big sized
  2. Tamarind pulp 1 tsp
  3. Toor dal 1 cup
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Water 5 cup
  6. Jeera 1 tsp
  7. Red chilli 1
  8. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  9. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  10. Cooking oil 1 tsp
  11. Curry leaves few
  12. Asafoetida 2 black pepper sized
  13. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. HEAT 1 TSP OIL, ADD MUSTARD SEEDS AND JEERA, IN A COOKER PAN.
  2. ADD RED CHILLI AND FRY TILL SPLUTTER
  3. ADD CURRY LEAVES
  4. NOW ADD TAMARIND PULP 1 TSP
  5. NOW ADD PEELED AND CHOPPED MANGO WITH SEED -1
  6. ADD 5 CUPS OF WATER
  7. ADD CLEANLY WASHED TOOR DAL 1 CUP
  8. SALT TO TASTE
  9. ADD ASAFOETIDA & 2 BLACK PEPPER CORNS
  10. ADD RED CHILLI POWDER 1 TSP, MIX WELL
  11. ADD TURMERIC POWDER 1/4 TSP, COVER THE LID AND COOK
  12. BRING IT TO 6-7 WHISTLES
  13. ONCE THE PRESSURE HAS COME DOWN,OPEN THE LID, CHECK IF IT IS DONE.
  14. STIR FINELY AND SERVE
