Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ripen mango 1 big sized
  2. Tamarind pulp 1 tsp
  3. Toor dal 1 cup
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Water 5 cup
  6. Jeera 1 tsp
  7. Red chilli 1
  8. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  9. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  10. Cooking oil 1 tsp
  11. Curry leaves few
  12. Asafoetida 2 black pepper sized
  13. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. HEAT 1 TSP OIL, ADD 1 TSP EACH OF MUSTARD & CUMIN SEEDS
  2. ADD 1 DRY RED CHILLI, SAUTE TILL THE SPICES START SPLUTTERING
  3. ADD A FEW CURRY LEAVES
  4. ADD 1 TSP TAMARIND PULP
  5. ADD 1 PEELED & CHOPPED MANGO, ALONG WITH THE SEED
  6. ADD 5 CUPS OF WATER, 1 CUP WASHED ARHAR DAL
  7. ADD SALT TO TASTE, 1/4 TSP ASAFOETIDA
  8. ADD 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER, MIX
  9. ADD 1/4 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, PRESSURE COOK UPTO 5-7 WHISTLES ON MEDIUM HEAT
  10. DELICIOUS MANGO DAL IS READY, SERVE HOT
