Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Red rice 1 cup
  2. Water
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Curd 3-4 tbs
  5. Chopped onion 1/2 cup
  6. Asafoetida a pinch
  7. Coriander leaves chopped few
  8. Mint leaves chopped few
  9. Green chilli chopped 1

Instructions

  1. CLEANLY WASH RED RICE 1 CUP 3-4 TIMES
  2. ADD SUFFICIENT WATER ME USED 2 LTR
  3. CLOSE THE LID WITH WHISTLE AND LET IT COOK WELL
  4. BRING IT TO TWO WHISTLES IN HIGH FLAME, 2 WHISTLES IN LOW FLAME, IT VARIES FROM COOKER TO COOKER
  5. AFTER COOL OPEN THE LID
  6. TAKE TWO CUPS OF FINELY COOKED RICE
  7. ADD 3-4 TBS OF CURD
  8. SALT TO TASTE
  9. MIX AND MASH WELL
  10. IT SHOULD BE MASHY
  11. ADD A PINCH OF ASAFOETIDA
  12. FINELY CHOPPED ONIONS 1/2 CUP
  13. GREEN CHILLI, MINT LEAVES AND CORIANDER LEAVES
  14. MIX WELL AND SERVE
