ABOUT Instant alloo Curry RECIPE

This is a delicious curry made with potatoes, that can be cooked instantly and can be served with pooris or parathas.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 4-5 Potatoes
  2. 3-4 tomatoes
  3. 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  4. A pinch heeng [asafoetida]
  5. 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  8. Refined oil

Instructions

  1. These are the tomatoes and potatoes, ready to be chopped and cooked.
  2. Peel the potatoes and dice them into cubes.
  3. Chop the tomatoes and keep aside.
  4. These are the chopped ingredients.
  5. Heat a pressure cooker with some oil. Add the cumin seeds, asafoetida and let them splutter.
  6. Then add the tomatoes, spices and salt. Saute and cook well.
  7. Now add the diced potatoes, and saute further.
  8. MIX WELL
  9. Add required amount of water and mix.
  10. Close the lid and cook until 3-4 whistles are attained. Open the lid and serve hot.
