Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For sambar :
  2. Toor dhall 1 cup
  3. garlic cloves - 2
  4. jeera [cumin seeds] - 1 tsp
  5. turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Asoefoetida [a pinch]
  7. Brinjal 3
  8. Drumstick 2
  9. Sambar powder - 1 tbsp
  10. salt
  11. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  12. Dry red chillies - 2
  13. Sliced onion - 2
  14. Curry leaves - 10
  15. For fish fry :
  16. ginger GARLIC PASTE - 1 TSP
  17. chilli POWDER - 1 TSP
  18. DHANIYA [CORIANDER] POWDER - 1 TSP
  19. GARAM masala POWDER - 1/2 TSP
  20. salt
  21. FISH PIECES - 4
  22. FOR RASAM :
  23. coriander seeds - 1 tsp
  24. cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  25. black pepper corns - 1 tsp
  26. dry red chillies - 2
  27. coriander leaves [handful]
  28. tomatoes - 1
  29. FOR potato FRY :
  30. potatoes - 2
  31. MUSTARD SEEDS - 1 TSP
  32. CURRY LEAVES - 10
  33. SAMBHAR POWDER - 1 TSP

Instructions

  1. TAKE TWO CUPS OF RICE WASH IT ,FOR SAMBAR TAKE TOOR DHALL, JEERA,TURMERIC POWDER, GARLIC IN A PRESSURE COOKER PAN AND COOK TILL 5 WHISTLES ARE ATTAINED.
  2. FOR FISH FRY MIX GINGER GARLIC PASTE,CHILLI POWDER,DHANIYA POWDER,GARAM MASALA POWDER,SALT .
  3. NOW APPLY THE MASALA PASTE ON FISH THOUROUGHLY
  4. FOR SAMBAR, ADD OIL IN PAN PUT MUSTARD,JEERA SEEDS , CURRY LEAVES AND FRY NICELY, ADD RED CHILLI AND ONIONS
  5. NOW ADD TOMATOES AND FRY NICELY .ADD REQUIRED SALT
  6. NOW ADD BRINJAL AND DRUMSTICKS, FRY NICELY.
  7. ADD SAMBAR POWDER AND MIX NICELY
  8. ONCE MIXED EVERYTHING, ADD TWO CUPS OF WATER AND ALLOW THE VEGETABLES TO COOK AND LET IT BOIL
  9. ONCE VEGETABLES ARE COOKED, ADD TAMARIND WATER
  10. FOR POTATO FRY, ADD OIL IN A PAN. ADD MUSTARD, CURRY LEAVES,ADD POTATO. FRY NICELY AND ADD SAMBAR POWDER
  11. FOR SAMBAR ,ONCE TAMARIND WATER IS BOILED ADD MASHED DHALL AND COOK FOR TEN MINUTES,MEANWHILE PUT FISH IN PAN
  12. FOR RASAM, ADD THE GRIND MASALA TO TAMARIND & TOMATO PULP, SIMMER AND SERVE HOT.
