Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Potatoes - 1/2 kg
  2. Tomatoes - 1/2 kg
  3. Onions - 1/2 kg
  4. Chana dal - 1 tsp
  5. Urad dal - 1 tsp
  6. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  7. Mustard seeds - 1 tap
  8. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  9. Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  10. Salt
  11. Oil - 2 tbsp
  12. Water required

Instructions

  1. BOIL AND PEEL 1/2 KG POTATOES
  2. ADD 2 TBSP OIL TO A SAUCE PAN & 1 TSP JEERA 1 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS
  3. 1 TSP EACH OF URAD AND CHANA DAL
  4. ADD 1/2 KG SLICED ONIONS
  5. SAUTE TILL DONE. ADD 1/2 TSP TURMERIC
  6. ADD 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER
  7. ADD 1/2 KG CHOPPED TOMATOES
  8. SAUTE, ADD SALT, COVER AND COOK FOR 10 MINUTES
  9. UNCOVER & ADD 1 TO 2 CUPS OF WATER
  10. LET IT TO SIMMER FOR A WHILE. ADD THE CHOPPED POTATOES
  11. MIX WELL. SIMMER FURTHER FOR FEW MINUTES. SERVE.
