ABOUT Dhungar Dal with Spicy Rice RECIPE

When we go for lunch on dhaba we always love the fragnance of the the dal cooked on the charcoal, this Dunga dal will remind you the same fragnance of dhaba dal at home.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Masoor dal half cup
  2. Tur dal half cup
  3. Split green moong dal half cup
  4. rajma one fourth cup
  5. Black pepper 3or4
  6. clove 3
  7. cinnamon 1 small
  8. ginger 1 big
  9. turmeric 2 tsp
  10. salt
  11. ghee 4 tbs
  12. oil 2tbs
  13. jeera 2 tbs
  14. Tej parts 1
  15. Green chilli 1 big
  16. garlic 3 to 4
  17. onion 1 big
  18. tomatoes 2 small
  19. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  20. Dhanya jeera powder 1 tsp
  21. Dal makhani masala 1 tsp
  22. lemon
  23. Boiled rice 2 cup
  24. Biryani masala 1tbs
  25. Black pepper 384

Instructions

  1. TAKE 1/2 CUP MASOOR DAL, 1/2 CUP TOLD DAL, 1/4 CUP SMALL RAKHNA, AND 1/2 CUP SPLIT GREEN MOONG DAL.
  2. WASH ALL DAL TOGETHER WITH WATER 3 TO 4 TIMES.
  3. TAKE WHOLE BLACK PEPPER, CLOVE, TEJ PARTS AND GINGER.
  4. ADD THE WHOLE SPICES AND GINGER IN THE WASHED DAL.
  5. ADD TURMERIC AND SALT.
  6. ADD GHEE.
  7. COVER IT AND PRESSURE COOK DAL IN COOKER.
  8. COOK FOR 3 TO 4 WHITTLE.
  9. CHOP ONION GREEN CHILLI GINGER AND GARLIC IN CHOPPER
  10. TAKE OIL AND GHEE ADD CUMIN SEEDS TO MAKE TADKA
  11. ADD ASAFOETIDA AND CHOP ONION GARLIC CHILLI AND GINGER PASTE.
  12. ADD CHOPPED TOMATOES.
  13. ADD TURMERIC, RED CHILLI POWDER, DAL MAKHANI MASALA POWDER AND DHANYA JEERA POWDER.
  14. WHEN ALL MASALA COOKS WELL AS A GLASS OF WATER
  15. ADD COOKED DAL
  16. ADD SALT AS PER TASTE AND COOK DAL FOR 10 MINUTES ON LOW FLAME
  17. HEAT A SMALL PIECE OF COAL ON THE FLAME
  18. PUT A STEEL BOWL IN THE CENTRE OF THE DAL. PUT THE BURNING COAL IN THE BOWL ADD GHEE. COVER THE PAN.
  19. REMOVE THE LID AFTER 2 MINUTES AND REMOVE THE STEEL BOWL FROM THE DAL.
  20. ADD LEMON IN THE DHUNGAR DAL.
  21. DHABA STYLE DHUNGAR DAL IS READY TO SERVE WITH SPICY BROWN RICE OR WITH ROTI IN LUNCH.
  22. FOR SPICY BROWN RICE-BOILED RICE, OIL, GHEE JEERA, SALT AND BIRYANI MASALA.
  23. MAKE TADKA WITH GHEE OIL AND JEERA
  24. ADD BIRYANI MASALA BOILED RICE AND SALT
  25. GIVE A GOOD STIR WITH SOFT HAND. SPICY BROWN RICE IS READY TO SERVE WITH DUNGAR DAL
  26. DUNGAR DAL IS READY TO SERVE WITH SPICY BROWN RICE AND ROTI FOR LUNCH
