ABOUT Dahi kobi(Cauliflower in yoghurt gravy) RECIPE

This dahi kobi, or dahi wali gobhi is a simple curry with fresh and tangy flvours of curd. It is quite easy to cook and taste delicious,it can be served with chapati, paratha, pooris and also pair well with jeera rice or steamed rice.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Cauliflower florets 1cup small sized, washed and cleaned
  2. Curd 1 cup
  3. Red chilli powder 1tsp
  4. Roasted cumin powder 1tsp
  5. Salt as per taste
  6. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  7. Curry leaves few
  8. Asafoetida a pinch
  9. Mustard oil 2tbsp

Instructions

  1. HEAT 1TBSP OIL IN A PAN.
  2. ADD 1CUP CAULIFLOWER (SMALL SIZE FLORETS).
  3. MIX.
  4. ADD SALT TO TASTE AND FRY.
  5. COVER AND COOK TILL BROWN SPOTS APPEAR AND FLORETS COOKED WELL.
  6. TRANSFER TO A PLATE.
  7. HEAT 1TSP MUSTAD OIL ON THE SAME PAN.
  8. ADD MUSTARD SEEDS,
  9. SLITED GREEN CHILLI,
  10. CURRY LEAVES AND
  11. ASAFOETIDA (HING).
  12. MIX WELL.
  13. ADD THE FRIED CAULIFLOWER FLORETS AND SAUTE FOR 2MINS.
  14. SWITCH OFF, TRANSFER TO A PLATE AND COOL.
  15. TAKE CURD IN A MIXING BOWL, ADD ROASTED CUMIN POWDER,
  16. RED CHILLI POWDER AND
  17. SALT TO TASTE.
  18. MIX WELL.
  19. ADD THE FRIED CAULIFLOWER.
  20. MIX WELL.
