ABOUT Kumro Chenchki RECIPE

Kumro chenchki is an also holds an ethnecity of Bong delicacy.It is cooked with Raw sweet Pumpkin,panchforon,powdered spice.It is also a combination of Sweet and salt. It is often served with Steamed Rice,Luchi,Dal in a Bengali manner.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chopped pumpkins 300 gm
  2. 2 Table spoon turmeric powder
  3. 2 teaspoon Red chilly powder
  4. 2 Red chillies
  5. 2 teaspoon Green chillies
  6. sugar 2 teaspoon
  7. salt to taste
  8. 1/2 teaspoon Panch foron
  9. 2 Table spoon vegetable oil
  10. 1 Cup water
  11. 1 teaspoon ghee

Instructions

  1. TAKE ALL THE INGREDIENTS TOGETHER:CHOPPED HALF RAW PUMPKIN,GREEN CHILLIES,DRIED RED CHILLIES,VEG OIL
  2. 2TBSP TURMERIC POWDER,2 TSPRED CHILLY POWDER,1/2 TSP PANCHFORON,2 TSP SUGAR,SALT TO TASTE,1CUP WATER
  3. ADD CHOPPED PUMPKINS,1 CUP WATER INTO A PRESSURE COOKER.ALLOW TO BOIL.
  4. AFTER THAT HEAT 2 TABLE SPOON VEGETABLE OIL IN A KADHAI.
  5. NEXT ADD 2 DRIED RED CHILLIES,1/2 TEASPOON PANCHFORON.LET THEM SPLUTTER.
  6. NEXT ADD CHOPPED PUMPKINS. STIRRED CONTINUOUSLY FOR 2 MINS.
  7. PUT LID ON IN A MEDIUM FLAME FOR 10 MINS.
  8. STIR AGAIN.ADD 2 TSP GREEN CHILLIES,2 TBSP TURMERIC POWDER,2 TSP RED CHILLY POWDER,SALT, 2TSP SUGAR
  9. AGAIN STIR FOR 5 MINS.ADD GHEE ON IT.
  10. NOW KUMRO CHENCHKI IS READY YO SERVE.
