ABOUT Paneer paturi RECIPE

Paturi is a very popular dish cooked in fresh banana leaves or pumpkin leaves. Basically mustard paste is the base and paneer is wrapped in banana leaf and then either you can steam or roast directly on fire. It's a very aromatic and flavourful recipe of paneer.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Paneer 200gm
  2. Mustard oil 3tbsp
  3. Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  4. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  5. Salt as per taste
  6. Slited green chilli 2-3
  7. Banana leaves 2-3
  8. Thread
  9. For masala paste -
  10. Yellow mustard seeds 4tbsp
  11. Poppy seeds 2tsp
  12. Shredded Coconut 2tsp
  13. Green chilli 2-3

Instructions

  1. TRANSFER TO A MIXING BOWL. ADD TURMERIC POWDER, SALT TO TASTE AND
  2. PINCH OF SUGAR AND MIX WELL.
  3. ROAST BANANA LEAVES ON A TAWA.
  4. PUT 4-5 PANEER CUBES,
  5. SPRINKLE LEMON JUICE.
  6. PUT A SLITED GREEN CHILLI IN THE MIDDLE.
  7. POUR 1TSP MUSTAD OIL.
  8. WRAP THE LEAF LIKE A PACKET.
  9. SEAL TIGHTLY WITH THREAD.
  10. HEAT OIL IN A PAN.
  11. PLACE THE PACKETS AND COOK COVERED FOR 6-7MINS EACH SIDE.
  12. WHEN BOTH SIDES OF THE PACKET BECOMES BROWN, SWITCH OFF THE GAS.
  13. SERVE HOT WITH STEAMED RICE.
