ABOUT South Indian Omelette Curry RECIPE

South style , Flavourful , Omelette curry . Super easy and highly yummy . Goes well with rice / parathas / dosas .

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. eggs large 4
  2. oil 3 tablespoons
  3. pepper powder to sprinkle
  4. salt as required
  5. cloves 3
  6. cinnamon stick small 2
  7. Black cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  8. onion 2 big
  9. tomatoes 3 big
  10. ginger garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon
  11. turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  12. Curry powder 1 tablespoon
  13. water 1/2 glass
  14. cilantros chopped fistful

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a wok . Add 2 small cinnamon sticks , 3 cloves , 1 teaspoon black cumin ,
  2. Grind 2 big onions , 3 big tomatoes , 1 teaspoon fennel seeds to a smooth purée.
  3. Pour the ground purée to the wok and sauté till raw smell leaves .
  4. Add 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste while sautéing .
  5. Add 1 teaspoon turmeric powder ,1 tablespoon curry powder , salt . Sauté .Add 1/2 glass water.Cook.
  6. Heat a iron tawa . Take 4 large eggs in a bowl . Whisk and pour the eggs on the hot tawa. Smear oil
  7. Sprinkle pepper powder and salt . Fry the omelette both the sides . Cut into squares .
  8. Add the omelette squares to the boiling curry . Simmer the flame . Cover and cook for 2 minutes .
  9. Eggs absorb masala when covered and slow cooked .
  10. Add chopped cilantros . Flavourful Omelette curry is ready to serve .
  11. Enjoy
