Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ming dal 1 cup
  2. turmeric powder 1 tsp
  3. salt 1 tsp
  4. zeera 1 tsp
  5. desi ghee 1 tablespoon
  6. red chilli 2-3
  7. hing 1/2 tsp
  8. coriander leaves chopped


  1. Wash mung dal and pressure cook with 2 cups water,salt and turmeric powder
  2. Cook till 2 whistles
  3. Now the dal is cooked
  4. Take a tadka pan and add 1 tablespoon desi ghee
  5. Add zeera,red chilli and hing
  6. Add this tempering to the dal
  7. Add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti
