Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Dosa rice 2 cup
  2. Tender coconut gratings 2 cup
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Water 1 1/2 cup
  5. Tender bottlegourd chopped 3 cup
  6. Coconut oil 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. 4 HOURS SOAKED RICE 2 CUP, SALT TO TASTE, SUFFICIENT WATER
  2. TENDER COCONUT'S GRATINGS 2 CUP
  3. GRIND SMOOTHLY
  4. TRANSFER THE BATTER INTO A VESSEL
  5. FINELY CHOPPED TENDER BOTTLEGOURD 3 CUP
  6. MIX WELL
  7. GREASE COCONUT OIL TO PLATES / IDLI MOULDS
  8. POUR SUFFICIENT BATTER
  9. PLACE ON SOME WATER FILLED IDLI STEAMER, COVER AND COOK FOR 35-40 MINUTES IN MEDIUM FLAME
  10. IDLI MOULDS FILLED WITH SAME BATTER
  11. PLACE ON IDLI STEAMER
  12. COVER AND COOK FOR 30-40 MINUTES, FIRST TEN MINUTES IN HIGH FLAME, THEN LOW-MEDIUM FLAME
  13. CHECK THE COOKNESS, ALLOW IT TO WARM, DEMOULD AND SERVE BY CUTTING IN DESIRED SHAPE
  14. CHECK THE COOKNESS AFTER 30 MINUTES, IF NOT CONTINUE STILL 5 MORE MINUTES, TAKE OFF FLAME, AND SERVE
