ABOUT Curd idli RECIPE

Roasted Idlis with spiced curd is a healthy summer treat.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Idlis 6
  2. curd 1+1/2 cup
  3. coconut milk 1/4 cup
  4. ginger 2"
  5. Green chilies 2
  6. Green coriander leaves 1 tbsp
  7. salt 1 tesp
  8. sugar 1 tesp
  9. Red chilli powder 1/2 tesp
  10. oil 2 tesp
  11. Mustard seeds 1/2 tesp
  12. asafoetida a pinch
  13. Curry leaves 5-6

Instructions

  1. TO 1+1/2 CUP COLD CURD ADD 1/4 CUP COCONUT MILK, 1 TESP GRATED GINGER, 2 FINELY CHOPED GREEN CHILLI.
  2. ADD 1 TBSP GREEN CORIANDER LEAVES, 1 TESP SUGAR, 1/2 TESP SALT.
  3. IN 1 TESP OIL TEMPER 1/2 TESP MUSTARD SEED, A PINCH OF ASAFOETIDA AND 5-6 CURRY LEAVES.
  4. ADD TEMPERING TO CURD MIXTURE.
  5. BRUSH IDLIS WITH SOME OIL.
  6. SPRINKLE SOME SALT AND RED CHILLI POWDER ON IDLIS.
  7. PLACE IDLIS ON A HOT NON STICK PAN AND ROAST FOR A MINUTE.
  8. FLIP AND ROAST ON OTHER SIDE TOO.
  9. ARRANGE IDLIS IN A PLATTER AND TOP WITH SPICED CURD.
  10. GARNISH WITH JULLIENS OF GINGER AND GREEN CHILIES.
