ABOUT Akki Roti RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup Rice flour
  2. 1 onion finely chopped
  3. 1 green chilli finely chopped
  4. 1 inch ginger finely chopped
  5. 3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  6. One teaspoon jeera
  7. Half grated carrot
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Water as required
  10. Oil to Drizzle

Instructions

  1. MIX ALL THE INGREDIENTS WELL
  2. ADD 1 CUP RICE FLOUR, MIX UNTIL CRUMBLY
  3. ADD SUFFICIENT WATER, KNEAD INTO A SMOOTH, SOFT DOUGH
  4. PLACE A SMALL BALL OF THE READY DOUGH ON AN OIL-GREASED FOIL PAPER, PRESS DOWN & SHAPE INTO A ROTI
  5. GENTLY PLACE THE FOIL UPSIDE DOWN ON A HOT TAVA, GRILL FOR 1 MINUTE
  6. GENTLY REMOVE THE FOIL WITHOUT BREAKING THE ROTI
  7. DRIZZLE OIL, COOK ON MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN FROM BOTH SIDES
  8. SERVE HOT WITH CHUTNEY, PICKLE OR CURRY
