ABOUT Awadhi Chicken Korma RECIPE

A delicious easy chicken dish made with in every Muslim kitchen. This was the first chicken recipe which my mother taught me

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. chicken 750gms
  2. curd 1Cup
  3. salt to taste
  4. cream 2tbsp
  5. onions 2
  6. Mixture to be grounded
  7. Red chilli whole 6
  8. coriander seeds 2tbsp
  9. jeera 1tsp
  10. saunf 1tsp
  11. Poppy seeds 2tbsp
  12. coconut powder 1tbsp
  13. cardamom 4
  14. clove 4
  15. cinnamon 1inch stick
  16. Black pepper whole 10

Instructions

  1. TAKE 750 GMS CHICKEN PIECES, ADD 1 CUP CURD, 2 TBSP GINGER-GARLIC PASTE
  2. ADD SALT TO TASTE, MIX WELL, COVER & SET ASIDE FOR 1 HOUR
  3. ADD ALL THE DRY SPICES TP A MIXER JAR, GRIND TILL SMOOTH ADDING A LITTLE WATER
  4. ADD THE GROUND SPICE PASTE TO THE MARINATED CHICKEN
  5. HEAT 3/4 CUP OIL, ADD 2 CHOPPED ONIONS, FRY UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN
  6. ADD THE CHICKEN PIECES ( SET ASIDE THE MARINADE ), COOK ON HIGH HEAT FOR 4-5 MINS
  7. THE CHICKEN SHOULD TURN GOLDEN BROWN LIKE THIS
  8. ADD THE RESERVED MARINADE & 1 CUP WATER, COVER & COOK UNTIL SOFT, SERVE HOT WITH RICE OR ROTIS
