ABOUT Peanut chutney RECIPE

This simple peanut chutney is prepared easily without any extra ingredients. You can eat this with idli, dosa, sooji utapam. It is also prepared in various ways by adding ingredients like curd, coconut, chana dal etc.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Peanuts - 200 grams
  2. Green chillies - 4
  3. Garlic pieces - 4 to 5
  4. Oil
  5. Mustard seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
  6. Red chillies - 1
  7. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Saute the peanuts in a pan without oil
  2. Once the popping sounds starts coming, it means its cooking
  3. Remove from flame, allow it to cool, remove its skin
  4. In a grinder, take green chillies, sauteed peanuts
  5. Add garlic pieces and grind to a fine paste
  6. Put some water to make the chutney
  7. For the chhauk, heat oil, add mustard seeds
  8. Red chillies, allow them to crackle
  9. Once done, add this to the chutney
  10. Add salt
  11. Mix well
  12. So that the flavour is distributed
