ABOUT Thekua from Bihar RECIPE

It's a traditional Bihari snak. Biharies often offered it as prasad on their main festival Chhat Parav.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Aatta 1 cup
  2. jaggery 3/4 cup
  3. water roughly 1 cup
  4. ghee 2 teaspoon
  5. Fennal seeds 3/4 teaspoon
  6. Crushed cardamom 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Shredded coconut 2 tablespoon
  8. Vegetable oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Take sugarcane jaggery add water and let it melt.
  2. Take whole wheat flour add crushed cardamom,fennel seeds, ghee and jaggery. Mix well and knead it.
  3. Add shredded coconut and mix
  4. Take a small portion
  5. Give it a shape
  6. Heat oil and deep fry in low flame
  7. Fry both sides properly
  8. Drain the excess oil
  9. Keep on a kitchen tissue .Serve hot.
