ABOUT Rasabali RECIPE

My mom used to make this a lot throughout my childhood. This is one of Shree Jagannath's chapan bhog made in Puri Jagannath temple. This is an exotic sweet dish prepared at home on special occasions and served as Desert.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Milk 2 cups
  2. Sugar 2 1/2 tbsp +1/2 tbsp
  3. Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp + 1/2 tsp
  4. Paneer - 75 grams
  5. Flour - 1tbsp
  6. Ghee for frying
  7. Pistachio for garnishing

Instructions

  1. BOIL 2 CUPS OF MILK
  2. ADD 2 1/2 TBSP OF SUGAR AND 1/2 TSP OF CARDAMOM THEN REDUCE THE MILK TO HALF AND KEEP IT ASIDE
  3. FOR BALI- MASH PANEER, FLOUR AND SUGAR
  4. MAKE SMALL BALLS OF THE DOUGH AND FLATTEN IT
  5. HEAT GHEE FOR FRYING
  6. ADD THE BALIS AND FRY TILL GOLDEN BROWN ON BOTH SIDES
  7. HEAT THE MILK AGAIN PREPARED EARLIER AND ADD THE BALIS IN IT
  8. AFTER ADDING THE BALIS BOIL THE MILK FOR 1 MIN
  9. GARNISH IT WITH PISTACHIO
