Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 2 cup yellow moongdal/lentils
  2. water as per need for soak
  3. 2 medium sized chopped onions
  4. 10-12 green chilly chopped
  5. 2 tbsp coriander
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1tsp cumin seeds
  8. Pinch of soda
  9. Oil for fry

Instructions

  1. WASH 2 CUPS DHULI MOONG DAL, ADD ENOUGH WATER, SET ASIDE TO SOAK 5 HOURS
  2. DRAIN THE WATER, ADD TO A MIXER JAR, BLEND INTO A SMOOTH PASTE
  3. WHISK WELL TILL THE BATTER BECOMES LIGHT & FLUFFY
  4. ADD 2 CHOPPED ONIONS, 2 TBSP CHOPPED FRESH CORIANDER
  5. ADD 10-12 CHOPPED GREEN CHILLIES, SALT TO TASTE, 1 TSP CUMIN SEEDS
  6. ADD A PINCH OF SODA, MIX
  7. DEEP FRY SPOONFULS OF BATTER IN HOT OIL ON MEDIUM HEAT
  8. FRY UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP FROM ALL SIDES
  9. SERVE HOT WITH CHUTNEY OR KETCHUP
