Kunafa is an iconic Middle Eastern dessert, i have made it with vermicilli which is available in every indian household.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 125 grams vermicelli
  2. 150 grams Mozzarella cheese
  3. 50 grams butter
  4. 1 cup sugar
  5. 1 tablespoon cardamom powder
  6. almonds and pista for garnishing

Instructions

  1. BREAK 125 GMS VERMICILLI INTO SMALL PIECES
  2. MIX 50 GMS BUTTER
  3. MIX NICELY
  4. ADD 1 TBSP BUTTER AND 2 DROPS OF ORANGE COLOUR IN A BAKING DISH AND SPREAD
  5. ADD BUTTERED VERMICILLI
  6. PRESS IT NICELY
  7. ADD 150 GMS MOZZARELLA CHEESE
  8. PRESS ON TOP AND BAKE IN PREHEATED OVEN.
  9. 200 DEGREES FOR 25 MINUTES
  10. SUGAR SYRUP: ADD 1 TBSP OF CARDAMOM POWDER IN 1/2 CUP WARM WATER FOR 5 MINUTES
  11. STRAIN AND ADD 1 CUP SUGAR AND 1 TSP LEMON JUICE AND COOK FOR 3 TO 4 MINUTES
  12. SUGAR SYRUP IS READY
  13. KUNAFA IS NICELY BAKED. LET IT SIT FOR 5 MINUTES
  14. INVERT IT ON THE SERVING DISH
  15. POUR SUGAR SYRUP ON TOP
  16. GARNISH WITH ALMONDS AND PISTA
