Banana Paratha is a delicacy that is much-loved by kids and adults alike. As soon as you know the name Banana Paratha, you think paratha with a spicy filling of raw banana. No, this recipe is completely the opposite. It is made with ripe bananas, Paneer, Garlic, sweetened with jaggery and laced with cardamom. Combine the banana paneer mixture and the flour, and add water only on a need basis. To get rich and authentic taste fry in ghee.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Wheat flour 2 cup + 1/2 cup for dusting
  2. Banana slices 1 1/2 cup
  3. Paneer 1 cup
  4. Ghee 1/4 cup
  5. Coconut oil 2 tsp
  6. Water 1/2 cup
  7. Jaggery 1/2 cup
  8. Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  9. Garlic cloves peeled 10-12
  10. Salt to taste 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. DRY FRY GARLIC
  2. ADD RIPE BANANA SLICES
  3. SALT
  4. PANEER
  5. JAGGERY
  6. CARDAMOM POWDER
  7. SAUTE TILL MIXTURE GETS THICKNESS, TAKE OFF FLAME AND ALLOW IT TO WARM
  8. WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR
  9. MIX WELL
  10. COMBINE WELL
  11. ADD SOME WATER AND MIX
  12. ADD COCONUT OIL, KNEAD THE DOUGH LIKE CHAPATI DOUGH
  13. DEVIDE THE DOUGH INTO EQUAL SIZED BALLS
  14. DUST THE WHEAT FLOUR, PRESS THE DOUGH BALL IN WHEAT FLOUR
  15. ROLL IT EVENLY
  16. FRY IN HOT TAWA
  17. FLIP, GREASE GHEE, AGAIN FLIP AND GREASE GHEE TO ANOTHER SIDE
  18. FRY THE PARATHA TILL BLACKISH BROWN SPOTS HERE AND THERE, REMOVE AND SERVE IN HOT
