ABOUT Chicken -macroni Au gratin RECIPE

Chicken and macroni cooked in white sauce and baked topped with cheese- its too delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. Cooked or boiled macroni (with slightly salt) 2 cup
  2. Chicken 100 g
  3. Cheese shredded 50-60 g( I used mozzarella cheese)
  4. Heavy cream 1/2 cup
  5. Minced garlic 2 pods
  6. Onion 1 small to medium size sliced
  7. Freshly crushed black pepper 2 teaspoon or as per your taste
  8. Nutmeg powder 1/4 teaspoon
  9. All purpose seasoning 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Salt as required
  11. Butter for white sauce 40g
  12. All purpose flour 1 cup
  13. Milk 250 ml(and little more)
  14. Butter for cooking about 30 g and little more for greasing

Instructions

  1. HEAT BUTTER ON MEDIUM LOW FLAME
  2. LET IT MELT
  3. ADD ALL PURPOSE FLOUR AND MIX
  4. MAKE IT LIKE A PASTE AND ADD MILK
  5. ADD LITTLE LITTLE MILK AT A TIME
  6. MIX
  7. ADD MORE MILK AND MAKE SMOOTH WHITE SAUCE
  8. ADD SALT AND FRESHLY CRUSHED BLACK PEPPER
  9. CUT CHICKEN INTO PIECES AND RUB WITH SALT CRUSHED BLACK PEPPER SLIGHTLY NUTMEG POWDER AND LITTLE ORIGANO
  10. HEAT BUTTER AGAIN
  11. FRY SLICED ONION UNTIL IT SOFTENED AND TRANSPARENT
  12. ADD CHICKEN PIECES AND FRY UNTIL LIGHT BROWN IN COLOUR
  13. SALT AND PEPPER AND MINCE GARLIC
  14. ADD ALL PURPOSE SEASONING
  15. IN OTHER SIDE IN BUTTER ADD BOILED MACRONI AND STIR
  16. ADD ONION AND CHICKEN
  17. ADD THE WHITE SAUCE
  18. MIX WELL
  19. ADD HEAVY CREAM AND MIX
  20. NOW POUR IT IN A GREASED BAKING CONTAINER
  21. TOP IT WITH MOZZARELLA CHEESE
  22. PREHEAT THE OVEN AT 200°C FOR 10 MINUTES
  23. BAKE IT FOR ABOUT 25 MINUTES AT 190°C
  24. SERVE HOT
