Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 4 bread slices
  2. 2 cups chopped spinach
  3. 1/2 cup boiled corn
  4. 1 tbsp butter
  5. 1 Teaspoon oregano
  6. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  7. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoon Chili flakes
  9. 1 teaspoon chopped fresh basil leaves
  10. salt to taste
  11. for making cheesy white sauce:
  12. 1 tbsp butter
  13. one teaspoon olive oil
  14. 1 tbsp All Purpose Flour
  15. 1-1/2 cup milk
  16. 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  17. 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  18. salt to taste

Instructions

  1. HEAT 1 TBSP BUTTER
  2. ADD 1/2 CUP BOILED CORN
  3. ADD 2 CUPS OF WASHED AND CHOPPED SPINACH
  4. ADD 1 TSP OREGANO, 1/4 TSP BLACK PEPPER
  5. ADD 1/4 TSP GARLIC POWDER AND LITTLE SALT AS THE WHITE SAUCE ALSO HAS SALT IN IT
  6. ADD 1 TSP CHOPPED BASIL LEAVES
  7. ADD 1/2 TSP CHILLI FLAKES
  8. COOK TILL ALL MOISTURE HAS GONE
  9. IT IS READY, KEEP ASIDE
  10. LETS MAKE CHEESY WHITE SAUCE: HEAT 1 TBSP OF BUTTER AND 1 TSP OF OLIVE OIL
  11. ADD 1 TBSP ALL PURPOSE FLOUR AND ROAST TILL NICE AROMA COMES OUT
  12. NOW ADD 1-1/2 CUP OF MILK AND STIR CONTINUOUSLY SO THAT NO LUMPS ARE FORMED
  13. WHEN MILK THICKENS ADD 1 TSP OF DRIED ITALIAN HERBS AND SALT
  14. SWITCH OFF THE GAS AND ADD 1/2 CUP GRATED CHEDDAR CHEESE AND MIX NICELY
  15. CHEESY WHITE SAUCE IS READY
  16. ADD THIS WHITE SAUCE TO THE READY CORN AND SPINACH MIXTURE
  17. OUR FILLING IS READY
  18. TAKE 4 BREAD SLICES AND APPLY BUTTER AND PUT THE SPINACH MIXTURE ON TWO BREAD SLICES
  19. COVER WITH OTHER BREAD SLICE
  20. GREASE THE PREHEATED TOASTER/GRILLER WITH BUTTER
  21. PLACE THE SANDWICHES FOR GRILLING IN THE TOASTER WITH LITTLE BUTTER ON TOP OF BREAD SLICES
  22. PERFECTLY GRILLED SANDWICHES ARE READY
  23. SERVE HOT WITH TEA OR COFFEE
