Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 3 big Potatoes
  2. 1 tbsp Butter
  3. 1 tbsp Rice Flour
  4. 1 tbsp Corn Flour
  5. 3 tbsp grated cheddar cheese
  6. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  7. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. GRATE 3 BIG POTATOES, KEEP IN ICE COLD WATER FOR 10 MINS
  2. DRAIN, PLACE ON A MUSLIN CLOTH, SQUEEZE OUT ALL THE MOISTURE, HEAT 1 TBSP BUTTER
  3. ADD THE DRIED POTATOES, SAUTE FOR 4-5 MINS
  4. ALLOW THE POTATOES TO COOL
  5. ADD 1 TBSP RICE FLOUR, 1 TBSP CORNFLOUR
  6. ADD 1/2 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER, 1/4 TSP PEPPER POWDER, SALT
  7. ADD 3 TBSP GRATED CHEDDAR CHEESE
  8. MIX WELL, SET ASIDE FOR 5 MINS
  9. SHAPE FLAT OVALS WITH OIL-GREASED PALMS
  10. SHALLOW FRY THE HASH BROWNS IN HOT OIL
  11. FLIP & FRY UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP FROM BOTH SIDES
  12. SERVE HOT WITH KETCHUP
