ABOUT Palak Patta Chaat RECIPE

#earnwithbetterbutter Spinach leaves coated with gram flour batter and fried to crisp and crunchy. Topped with curd, tamarind chutney and mint chutney. It is a popular street food of Delhi.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. spinach leaves 8-10
  2. Gram flour 1 cup
  3. salt 1/2 tesp
  4. Red chilli powder 1/2 tesp
  5. turmeric powder 1/4 tesp
  6. Carrom seeds 1/4 tesp
  7. Baking soda a pinch
  8. oil for deep frying
  9. curd 1 cup
  10. tamarind chutney 2 tbsp
  11. mint chutney 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. TAKE 1 CUP GRAM FLOUR, ADD 1/2 TSP EACH OF SALT, RED CHILLI, TURMERIC & PEPPER POWDERS
  2. ADD A PINCH OF BAKING SODA, 1/4 TSP CAROM SEEDS
  3. ADD SUFFICIENT WATER TO MAKE A BATTER
  4. MAKE A THICK & SMOOTH BATTER LIKE THIS
  5. WASH & DRY 10-12 SPINACH LEAVES
  6. DIP A SPINACH LEAF IN THE READY BATTER, DROP INTO HOT OIL TO FRY
  7. DEEP FRY FOR 1 MINUTE ON BOTH SIDES ON MEDIUM HEAT
  8. TAKE OFF HEAT WHEN GOLDEN BROWN
  9. REFRY THE SPINACH AFTER 5 MINS
  10. FRY UNTIL CRISP, REMOVE & PLACE ON ABSORBENT PAPER
  11. ARRANGE IN A SERVING DISH, TOP WITH 2-4 TBSP CHILLED, WHIPPED CURD
  12. SPRINKLE SALT, RED CHILLI & ROASTED CUMIN POWDER TO TASTE
  13. TOP WITH 1 TBSP EACH OF TAMARIND & MINT CHUTNEYS
  14. GARNISH WITH BOONDI, SERVE IMMEDIATELY
