Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup yellow moong dal
  2. Oil enough to deep fry
  3. A tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  4. Salt to taste
  5. A pinch of chat masala powder
  6. A pinch hing

Instructions

  1. I HAVE SOAKED 1 CUP OF YELLOW MOONG DAL FOR 2 HOURS, AND LET THEM DRY ON A KITCHEN TOWEL FOR 2 HOURS
  2. THE WET MOONG DALS ARE TOTALLY DRY NOW. NO TRACES OF WATER ANYWHERE. THEY ARE SOFT AND DRY.
  3. HEAT REFINED OIL IN A KADAI, PLACE HANDFUL OF MOONG DALS INSIDE A BIG STRAINER, DIP IN THE OIL.
  4. THE DALS ARE FRIED THOROUGHLY, UNTIL GOLDEN COLOR, STRAIN THE EXCESS OIL BY PLACING THEM IN A TISSUE
  5. LIKEWISE ALL THE DALS ARE FRIED
  6. ADD A TSP OF KASHMIRI RED CHILLI POWDER, A PINCH OF HING INTO THE FRIED DAL
  7. A PINCH OF CHAT MASALA POWDER ALSO IS ADDED.
  8. ADD IN ENOUGH SALT AS PER TASTE, MIX THEM WELL.
  9. AGAIN DROP ALL THE DALS ONTO A TISSUE PAPER TO FURTHER TAKE AWAY ANY EXCESS OIL OR MOISTURE
  10. THEY ARE PERFECT
  11. THE MOONG DAL NAMKEEN SNACK IS READY TO PACK OR TO MUNCH.
