  1. Dosa rice 2 cup
  2. Cooked rice 1 cup
  3. Grated coconut 1 cup
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Colocasia leaves medium sized 8
  6. Curry leaves 1 bunch
  7. Water
  8. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  9. Red chilli 2
  10. Tamarind lemon sized
  11. Jaggery 1 cup
  12. Jeera 1 tsp
  13. Coriander seeds 5 tsp
  14. Coconut oil 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. OVERNIGHT SOAKED RICE 2 CUPS
  2. LEMON SIZED TAMARIND, TURMERIC POWDER 1/4 TSP, SALT TO TASTE
  3. JEERA 1 TSP, CORIANDER SEEDS 5 TSP
  4. COOKED RICE 1 CUP FOR SMOOTHNESS
  5. GRATED COCONUT 1 CUP, FEW CURRY LEAVES
  6. RED CHILLI 2, JAGGERY 1 CUP, ADD 1 CUP WATER
  7. GRIND SMOOTHLY
  8. TRANSFER GROUND PASTE INTO A VESSEL
  9. CLEANLY WASHED AND CLEANED COLOCASIA LEAVES MEDIUM SIZED 8
  10. CHOP INTO SMALL PIECES
  11. ADD INTO BATTER
  12. MIX WELL
  13. ADD A BUNCH OF CURRY LEAVES
  14. MIX IT
  15. PLACE BANANA LEAF, ADD FEW DROPS OF COCONUT OIL IN IDLI STEAMER
  16. POUR THE BATTER INTO IT
  17. COVER AND STEAM IN HIGH FLAME FOR ABOUT TEN MINUTES, CONTINUE STEAMING IN LOW FLAME FOR 20 MINUTES
  18. OPEN THE LID, CHECK THE COOKNESS
  19. CUT INTO SMALL PIECES, SERVE WITH COCONUT OIL
