Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the Dough :
  2. Whole Wheat Flour 1 cup
  3. Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Sugar 3/4 teaspoon
  5. Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Baking powder 1.5 teaspoon
  7. Vegetable Oil 4 tablespoons
  8. Curd 1/2 cup or as required
  9. For the Filling :
  10. Pizza sauce 1.5 teaspoon
  11. Tawa Mushroom masala ( leftover )
  12. Lettuce chopped fistful
  13. Cheddar cheese shredded as preferred
  14. For brushing :
  15. Butter melted at room temperature 2 tablespoons
  16. Oregano 1 teaspoon
  17. Thyme 1 teaspoon
  18. Red chilly flakes 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take 1 cup whole wheat flour in a wide bowl .
  2. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  3. Add 3/4 teaspoon sugar .
  4. Add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda .
  5. Add 1.5 teaspoon baking powder .
  6. Mix all the ingredients together.
  7. Make a well at the centre of the flour.Add 1/2 cup curd gradually while kneading to a smooth dough.
  8. Add 4 tablespoons vegetable oil on the dough and knead for couple of minutes .
  9. The final dough is ready .Cover and rest for 40 minutes .
  10. After 40 minutes , divide the dough into 2 equal portions . Take one portion while storing another.
  11. Roll the dough into a medium thickness large roti . Trim the sides to give a rectangle look .
  12. Spread a teaspoon pizza sauce on the roti first .
  13. Place 1/2 cup mushroom masala in the centre ( used leftover ) . Use any filling as you prefer
  14. Top it up with chopped lettuce .
  15. Finally sprinkle cheddar cheese as preferred .
  16. Bring both the sides to centre and seal the dough from all the sides .
  17. Turn the dough where the sealed part faces down.Spread butter + Italian seasoning +red chilly flake
  18. Keep a tawa on the stove top . Line a thick aluminum foil on the tawa . Place the Stromboli .
  19. Take a wide bowl . Wrap the inner side with aluminum foil .
  20. Now cover the Stromboli with the wrapped wide bowl . Place a pot full of water on top .
  21. Bake in low for 30 minutes or until aroma is released , the Stromboli turns pleasing brown .
  22. No yeast Tawa Mushroom Stromboli is ready .
  23. Cut and serve the Mushroom Stromboli hot .
