Moong dal cakes is a very healthy and delicious recipe for kids and elders. It's very flavourful and quick recipe. Best for kids tiffin.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Dhuli moong dal 1 cup
  2. ginger 2"
  3. Green chilies 2
  4. salt 3/4 tesp
  5. Red chilli powder 1/2 tesp
  6. Baking soda 1/4 tesp
  7. lemon juice 1 tesp
  8. onion 1
  9. capsicum 1
  10. Cottage cheese 75 gm
  11. Black pepper powder 1 tesp
  12. Roasted cumin powder 1 tesp
  13. oil 2-3 tbsp

Instructions

  1. SOAK 1 CUP MOONG DAL FOR 6-8 HOURS.
  2. WASH THOROUGHLY AND STRAIN WATER.
  3. GRIND WITH 2" GINGER, 2 GREEN CHILIES AND 1/4 CUP OF WATER.
  4. GROUND TO A FINE AND SMOOTH BATTER.
  5. TO BATTER ADD 3/4 TESP SALT, 1/2 TESP RED CHILLI POWDER, 1/4 TESP BAKING SODA AND 1 TESP LEMON JUICE
  6. MIX WELL AND REST THE BATTER FOR 20 MINUTES.
  7. GREASE A HOT TAWA. POUR A LADLE FULL OF BATTER IN IT. DON'T SPREAD.
  8. TOP WITH FINELY CHOPPED ONION AND CAPSICUM, GRATED COTTAGE CHEESE.
  9. SPRINKLE WITH SOME SALT, BLACK PEPPER AND ROASTED CUMIN POWDER.
  10. DRIZZLE LITTLE OIL AND COOK COVERED ON SIM FOR 2 MINUTES.
  11. FLIP THE CAKES.
  12. DRIZZLE SOME OIL AND COOK COVERED FOR OTHER 30 SECONDS.
  13. HEALTHY MOONG DAL CAKES ARE READY.
  14. SERVE WITH KETCHUP!!
