Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Potato large 1
  2. Sesame Oil 4 tablespoons
  3. Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  4. Red chilly powder 1/2 tablespoon
  5. Coriander powder 1/4 tablespoon
  6. Salt 1 teaspoon
  7. Hing a pinch

Instructions

  1. Take 1 washed, dried large potato . Don’t peel the skin . Cut the potato into thin round slices .
  2. Heat 4 tablespoons sesame oil in a iron tawa . Maintain a very low flame .
  3. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon turmeric powder .
  4. Then 1/2 tablespoon red chilly powder , 1/4 tablespoon coriander powder . My homemade spice powder
  5. contains both . Add 1 teaspoon salt .
  6. Add a pinch of hing .
  7. Mix all the ingredients in the hot oil for 2 seconds in low heat .,
  8. Now place the potato slices . Toss the potatoes gently so that potatoes get masala coated.
  9. Slow fry the masala coated potatoes in low heat .
  10. When lower side is fried , flip and fry another side .
  11. Slow fry till all the potatoes look crispy and fried .
  12. It’s done .
  13. Tawa potatoes are ready . Tastes yum with Dal / curd rice .
