Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Moong dal 1 cup
  2. Water 1 1/4 ltr
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Ginger 1"
  5. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  6. Green chilli 1
  7. Tomato 1
  8. Curry leaves 1 string
  9. Coconut oil 2 tsp
  10. Red chilli 1
  11. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  12. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  13. Asafoetida 1 Channa dal sized

Instructions

  1. ADD WASHED 1 CUP OF MOONG DAL INTO BOILING 1 LTR OF WATER, LET IT COOK MASHY IN LOW-MEDIUM FLAME
  2. CHECK THE COOKNESS, ADD SOME WATER, SALT TO TASTE
  3. ADD TURMERIC POWDER 1/4 TSP, CRUSHED AND CHOPPED GINGER 1", FINELY CHOPPED SOUR TOMATO 1 BIG SIZED
  4. HEAT COCONUT OIL 2 TSP, ADD MUSTARD SEEDS AND CUMIN 1 TSP, RED CHILLI, ASAFOETIDA LET IT SPLUTTER
  5. ADD CURRY LEAVES, SEASONING INTO FINELY BOILING TOVVE, COVER THE LID FOR FEW MINUTES, THEN SERVE
