  1. Toor dal 1/4 cup
  2. Fresh coconut grated 1/2 cup
  3. colocasia roots 4
  4. kokam pieces 2
  5. turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  6. red chillies 2
  7. tamarind marble ball size
  8. grated jaggery 2 tbsp
  9. salt to taste

Instructions

  1. SOAK TOOR DAL FOR AN HOUR
  2. PRESSURE COOK TOOR DAL WITH COLOCASIA ROOTS AND KOKAM FOR 3 WHISTLES
  3. GRIND TOGETHER COCONUT , TAMARIND, TURMERIC POWDER, RED CHILLIES. ADD IT TO DAL. ADD JAGGERY , SALT
