Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup mix daal soaked and blended (arhar chana masoor and.moong) in equal proportion
  2. 3 tbsp finely chopped onion
  3. 2 tbsp finely chopped spring onion green
  4. 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  5. 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
  6. 1 tbsp finely chopped green chill
  7. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  8. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  9. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  10. 1 tsp dry mango powder
  11. Salt to taste
  12. 3 tbsp oil
  13. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  14. 1/2 tsp ajwain seeds

Instructions

  1. KEEP ALL THE INGREDIENTS READY
  2. IN A PAN ADD OIL THEN CUMIN AND CARAWAY SEEDS .LET IT CRACKLE AND THEN ADD CHOPPED GARLIC ,GINGER AND SAUTE FOR FEW MINUTES AND THEN ADD HALF CHOPPED ONION AND COOK
  3. NEXT ADD CHOPPED GREEN CHILLI AND COOK
  4. TO THIS ADD BLENDED DAAL MIX AND STIR
  5. THEN ADD ALL DRY SPICES AND SALT
  6. COOK TILL DAL MIXTURES STARTS LEAVING SIDES OF PAN
  7. NOW SWITCH OFF THE FLAME ADD REMAINING CHOPPED ONION AND SPRING ONION GREEN AND CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES
  8. SPREAD THIS MIXTURE ON GREASED BAKING DISH
  9. SPREAD EVENLY
  10. CUT SIDES FOR EVEN PIECES
  11. THEN CUT IN DESIRED SHAPE
  12. CHILL FOR 15 MINS BEFORE FRYING
  13. ADD OIL TO PAN AND HEAT . TO THIS ADD CHILLED DAL PIECES AND SHALLOW FRY
  14. LET IT TURN BROWN ON BOTH SIDES
