Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Glutinous rice flour / Mochi flour 1 cup
  2. Tapioca flour 3 tablespoons
  3. Salt 1/4 teaspoon
  4. Egg large 1
  5. Water 3 tablespoons
  6. Butter softened unsalted 1.5 tablespoons
  7. Mozzarella cheese 1/4 cup
  8. Parmesan cheese 1 large cube or as preferred
  9. Butter for brushing (optional)

Instructions

  1. Take 3 sifted tablespoons tapioca flour in a bowl.
  2. Add 1 cup glutinous rice flour .
  3. Add 1/4 teaspoon salt .
  4. Add 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese.
  5. Add 1 cube Parmesan cheese . Add extra if preferred.
  6. Add 1 large whisked egg . Start kneading to a dough .
  7. Add 3 tablespoons water .
  8. Knead . Add 1.5 tablespoon soft unsalted butter .
  9. Knead into a smooth dough . The dough will be sticky . That is fine.
  10. Make medium sized balls out of the dough as shown .
  11. Same way others balls ( buns ).Place on a parchment sheet lined baking tray.Bake for 20mins high .
  12. Baked Mochi buns look golden with cracks . Mochi Buns are ready . Brush little butter( optional).
  13. Relish happily !
